Know the Kauai Weather before You Rent A Paddleboard

 

 

You are planning to rent a paddleboard. After all, you are in Kauai. But have you checked the weather yet?

Kauai is actually an all-year-round place to visit. It has a friendly weather in most time but still, you will find rainy day sometimes.

If you are avoiding the rain, you will realize that going to South Shore is your best chance to get on the SUP without any problem. With that, the rain won’t bother you at all. North Shore or East shore is actually the great spots for SUP activities. But these are not the best for those who don’t like rain. Even in the warmer months, you might notice few little spots of rain.

Kauai is also known as the Garden Isle for a sensible reason. It offers the green, wet, and lush to all the visitors. Many people love the nature views of Kauai. But you know, actually little rain does not seem to be a big problem at all. Consider how many rainbows that you will witness in different spots. The sunshine and the rain will be befriended to make sure the nature lovers amused.

You will come to agree that it is a different thing than other attractions in Hawaii. Many folks love to visit Kauai because of the distinct appearance.  There are a lot of things that can only be found in Kauai. And few of them can be found when you are SUPing.

Now, let’s talk about the colder months. When it comes to these, you will need to consider about finding the sunniest or driest locations if you want to steer clear of the rain. If that is the case, then Waimea is the spot that you want to visit. In the South Shore, you will have a better chance at Lawai or Poipu.

The wetter locations are Kappa on the Eastern Coast, then Princeville, Kilauea, Hanalei in the North Shore.

Choosing these locations, you will also need to consider the activities that you’ll do besides SUP. If necessary, you could make a list of the full itinerary so that you will know what to bring and you won’t bring.

The good thing here is that you can reach most of the Kauai area within 2 hours or so. So, if your current location is not so friendly to paddle, you could move away. After all, it does not take a long time to find the better spots. When you rent a paddleboard, you could also ask the owner or locals about the weather. They will gladly help you. You will find fun and helpful companions in Kauai.
